Opening of the Exhibition 'Women - I Paint Women Because I Understand Them' (20 – 31 May 2019)
The White House is a multifunctional Cultural Center in the architectural reserve of the Old Town. In 2019 the center will organize a series of events associated with the programme of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019.

Selected works of the Plovdiv artist Todor Dryankov will be shown for the first time in the gallery of the cultural center The White House, in the Old Town. This is an impressive exhibition in which the main plot is the woman. She, transformed into a symbol, encoded in a multilayer expression. The woman is a beloved, mother, daughter, mistress, seducer. She is a muse, creator, goddess. Bright colors, vitality, challenge, sensuality - with all this the paitner tries to rediscover the female world - infinite, romantic, uplifting and appealing.

Todor Dryankov was born in 1944 in Plovdiv. He graduated from the National Academy of Arts, Sofia under the direction of Zlatyu Boyadzhiev. There are numbers of individual and group exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad. Many of his works are in private collections in Bulgaria, Japan, Great Britain, Belgium, France, USA, Mexico, Russia, Jordan and others.
