MINI Bulgaria and Plovdiv 2019 Foundation announced a partnership within the Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019 initative. Within the cooperation, the British premium brand becomes a partner of the project by the end of 2019, providing six MINI cars to be of service of the team and the official guests, organizers and participants in numerous cultural events. The Foundation will take the opportunity to organize visits to events of the programme in the region and journalistic tours on pre-designed routes.

The collaboration goes under the motto "Art in Motion". It was deliberately chosen and corresponds to the main message of the project “#Together“. The main idea is to complement and further develop it, as well as to reflect key elements of the overall philosophy of the brand, which have always been associated with contemporary art, innovation and design. In addition, the graphic design of the cars uses the capabilities of the moving car to turn each MINI into an artwork on wheels, worthy of the programme of "Plovdiv 2019".

For the ECoC initiative in Plovdiv the organizers can rely on the MINI Clubman and MINI Countryman models, which combine the characteristic iconic design of the brand with versatile functionality.

In 2019, the MINI brand will celebrate its 60th anniversary. It has been in the BMW Group's portfolio since 1999, when the Mini brand was acquired to continue its success story in the mood of the 21st century. The first MINI from the brand's new history was launched in 2001. Currently, the MINI range includes four MINI Hatch, MINI Cabrio, MINI Countryman and MINI Clubman models, which allow fans of the brand's distinctive philosophy and the typical go-kart feeling to choose a car that suits exactly their lifestyle.
MINI's sales network in Bulgaria includes three car dealerships in Sofia Auto Bavaria M Car Sofia and Varna M Car Varna, as well as five authorized service centers Sofia Auto Bavaria M Car Sofia, M Car Plovdiv, Bova Car, M Car Varna.
Plovdiv is the first Bulgarian city chosen to be an European Capital of Culture. The ECoC initiative is an unique project that provides new opportunities for developing the potential of the winning city and a new international visibility of Bulgarian culture as a whole. The programme of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019 includes activities and events also in the South Central region of Bulgaria.
