FARA, the annual festival of the Bulgarian Association of Communications Agencies (BACA), is the biggest forum of Bulgaria's creative industry. More than 500 professionals from the communications industry, representatives of creative professions, directors, producers, leading advertisers, marketing experts and media take part.

An inspiring competition of creative ideas, the event presents the most successful advertising formats and campaigns created in Bulgaria and realised here or abroad. Communications agencies showcase their achievements in 26 categories, grouped into four sections: Audiovisual Forms and Copywriting, Art Direction and Design, Digital Forms and Creative Media Use, and Campaigns. FARA is also a reputable forum for trainings with international lecturers, and a place for ‘setting watches’ on the global trends in the industry.

FARA (6 - 8 June 2019)

Since 2017 FARA and Plovdiv 2019 have been collaborating for strengthening its lectures and trainings forum. Its programme boasts a bevy of international lecturers, who demonstrate different perspectives for the present and future of communications.

The event in Plovdiv is under the motto "Hungry for Ideas".

Not only will the most interesting advertising and communication solutions during the year be on display, but also a retrospective exhibition with emblematic ads from the previous 2 decades. The festival will present the exhibition in the foyer of the Boris Hristov House of Culture in Plovdiv between June 6th and 8th. The exposition is open for a free visit every day between 9.30 and 18.00 during the event.

For another year the festival will not only award the best advertisements for the past year, but also organize a rich and interesting lecture panel with world-class lecturers in the field of marketing, advertising and art. Attending the lecture panel and the open presentations of the advertising projects for the year as well as the participation in the two award ceremonies for the awarded projects require accreditation, which can be purchased at www.fara.bg/accreditationbg.

Accredited FARA participants will be able to track the competition of creative projects in 10 major categories and 25 subcategories, with 32 agencies currently participating in the festival with a total of 324 promotional projects.
The jubilee edition is the occasion to include one more, 11th category that does not award points for the final standings in the creative competition, but will remind us of interesting moments from the agencies' work over the years - the category "The best of the first 20".

This year as well, FARA continues to be not only a competition, but a lecture forum on an international level. On June 7 accredited participants will have the opportunity to hear world-class speakers from the field of marketing, business and advertising. Among them are Oscar Farinetti, founder of Eataly, photographer Dimitar Karanikolov, Charlotte Bufler & Hans-Peter Albrecht of The Wunderwaffe, Munich, Farid Chehab - Leo Burnett MEA Chairman and Adviser, and Faris and Rosi Jakob, Co-Founders of the nomadic strategic & creative consulting company Genius Steals.

2019 is shaping up to be a record for the festival, which celebrates the most accredited guests from Bulgaria and abroad.
