CNN video promotes Plovdiv – European Capital of Culture 2019
A CNN video shows Plovdiv and Bulgaria as the perfect choice for a tourist destination. The video commercial is part of an international campaign of the Ministry of Tourism, implemented jointly with the world news channel CNN, Travel Channel, National Geographic, and Eurosport.
In addition to 30-second TV clips and online formats in the digital media channels, the campaign includes three 60-second videos on CNN’s television and online network. They present the beauty of Bulgaria to foreign tourists and aim to enhance their interest in its rich cultural and historical heritage. The materials are dedicated to Plovdiv, Sofia and some of the most visited sights in the country – the Seven Rila Lakes and the Rila Monastery.
Plovdiv is presented as a unique tourist route and the video allows potential tourists to “walk” through the small streets of the Old Town. The richness of its cultural and festive scene is emphasized, naturally recorded in the local architectural and archaeological sites. The campaign complements the positive image of Plovdiv as a brand and preferred tourist destination.
The 60-second clips, which are part of the 60-second vacation series, impress with natural objects and diverse offers for unique experiences in Bulgaria. The overall promotion of Plovdiv as the European Capital of Culture is part of the partnership between the Municipal Foundation “Plovdiv 2019” and the Ministry of Tourism.
