The event will transform several central parking lots on September 13

A free virtual tour of the Ancient Stadium in Plovdiv is just one of the interesting ideas that will transform some of the parking lots on Otets Paisii and Hristo G. Danov streets into the first edition of PARK (ing) Day in Plovdiv on September 13. The idea belongs to arch. Hristian Alexandrov, who created a special mobile application, presenting in real scale a 3D image of the 240-meter Ancient Forum. Through it, visitors to PARK (ing) Day will be able to walk from "Dzhumayata" to "Central" Square to see with their mobile phones the entire ancient construction hidden under today's Plovdiv.

During the event, a total of 10 parking lots on Otets Paisiy and Hristo G. Danov streets will present innovative ideas of citizens, activists, businesses and NGOs in the city. A guide for proper tree pruning in urban environment, a large interactive T-shirt, a garden on wheels, a presentation of a Bulgarian board game, a waste-free parking lot, a giant storybook will transform the central part of Plovdiv on September 13th.

The start is at 10:00 am, and the improvised info-center of the event will be the park (ing) lot of the main organizers of the initiative - Credo Bonum Foundation - situated at the beginning of Otets Paisii Street. From it the visitors will be able to take a special map-card for participation in the game "Discover the park (ing)". The first 30 people who receive a stamp from all converted parking lots on the day of the event will receive a prize. For this purpose, it is necessary to show the card with the collected stamps back to the parking lot of the Credo Bonum Foundation.
The international initiative PARK (ing) Day will be held for the first time in Plovdiv, as part of the programпе of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019 in partnership with the Municipality of Plovdiv and the "Organization and Control of Transport" Municipal enterprise.

The environmental event, which has been successfully implemented for 7 consecutive years in Sofia, aims to draw public attention to the idea of a shared and clean urban environment, tailored to the needs of pedestrians.

More information about the event and participation in the game can be found on Facebook on the page PARK (ing) Day 2019 in Plovdiv -
