Plovdiv 2019 will take part in the online Sibiu Performing Arts Market 2020 from 15 to 17 June

Every year, since its first edition in 1997, more than 300 participants all over the world, representing various cultural organizations (artistic management agencies, NGOs, public institutions, independent companies, etc.), meet in Sibiu and establish connections and possible future partnerships.

From 15 to 17 June, artists, representatives from performing arts institutions or cultural networks, producers, managers, festival directors and other cultural operators from all over the world, will join together #online, during Sibiu Performing Arts Market. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the participants will continue to exchange ideas and solutions for our projects, as well as identify new opportunities of collaboration.

Plovdiv 2019, represented by the Deputy Director Programme Gina Kafedjian, and representatives of Novi Sad 2021, Bodø 2024, Tartu 2024, amongst others participate in the day 3 of the online edition of the festival in Sibiu, in a discussion on topic "Community Growth Through Culture.“
Guests are: Barbara Gessler (Creative Europe, DG Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission), Gina Kafedzhian (Plovdiv European Capital of Culture 2019), Vojislav Prkosovacki & Bojan Milosavljević (Novi Sad European Capital of Culture 2021), Henrik Sand Dagfinrud (Bodø European Capital of Culture 2024), Erni Kask (Tartu European Capital of Culture 2024), Giuliana Ciancio & Luca Ricci (BeSpectACTive!), Corina Panaitopol (Permanent Representation of Romania to the European Union), Professor Octavian Saiu (Adjunct Secretary General, International Association of Theatre Critics).
