Open call for the Bulgarian City Candidates Finalists in the competition for the title European Capital of Culture 2019

The Plovdiv 2019 Foundation announces an open call for projects proposed by cultural organizations, independent curators and artists from the Bulgarian candidate cities finalists in the competition for the title European Capital of Culture 2019 - Varna, Sofia with the South-West Region (Blagoevgrad, Kyustendil and Pernik) and Veliko Tarnovo with the region.

ADATA AiR: Open Call for the 2nd Session

ADATA AiR is an artist-in-residence programme with a focus on the urban landscape of Plovdiv.
Deadline for submitting applications: May 31, 2018. Residencies: from July 15 to November 30, 2018
Plovdiv 2019 Foundation launches ADATA AiR with the aim to give a space for a creative exchange that fosters intercultural dialogue and interaction. The platform is open for artists, architects, designers, etc., from Europe to join the special pre-capital-of-culture stage for the development of the Bulgarian city Plovdiv, which is going to be a European Capital of Culture in 2019. During their stay, the residents will have the opportunity to develop new projects and interact with the local communities and the complex cultural realities of the city.

Open Call Japanese Culture

Plovdiv 2019 in collaboration with EU JAPAN FEST announces an open call for projects focused on JAPANESE CULTURE. The projects will be carried out as part of the Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019 programme. The call is an invitation to cultural organisations, independent curators and artists from Bulgaria and abroad.

The Results for the Open Call for Chitalishta are Аnnounced

The Plovdiv 2019 Foundation attracted a total of 247 projects from over 160 community centers. The result of the Open Call is 93 approved projects coming from Chitalishte throughout the South Central Region.
