Kiril Velchev has extensive experience in administrative culture management in Plovdiv. He participated actively in the creation of policies in this sphere, cultural strategy of the city till 2024 and others. From 2013 onwards he worked in the “Culture and Heritage” department at the Plovdiv Municipality. He is the main organizer of the International Folklore Festival. He played a leading role in the initiatives to promote KAPANA as the only art district in Bulgaria. He actively participated in the development of the cultural calendar of the city and in the attracting of new audiences and new events. Velchev is certified choreographer and art director.
