CHILDREN’S CHOIR OF BULGARIA – A CONCERT FOR PEACE

A musical event with more than 450 children from all over Bulgaria will send their message for peace through song together with the Orchestra and soloists of Opera Plovdiv.

Ballet and orchestra of Opera Plovdiv

Tolstoy's literary masterpiece and Tchaikovsky's ingenious music meet the imagination of a great choreographer-interpreter Leo Mujic . The ballet unfolds against the background of some of the most beautiful fragments of the composer's symphonies and his Violin Concerto performed by the virtuoso Liya Petrova and the Orchestra of Opera Plovdiv.

Rafal Olbinski's surrealist paintings and Michal Znaniecki's provocative directing transform the Ancient Theater into a luxury resort, where the immoral Don Giovanni sows ruin and devastation in the lives of those around him until judgment comes.

A parable about the power of Faith in which the famous chorus of the enslaved Jews sounds today more relevant than ever against the background of world turmoil. Impressive visuals will recreate the devastation of the biblical epic and the triumph of Light afterwards.

An opportunity for young tenors from all over the world to transcend the message of devotion and honesty towards Art, that was so important to one exceptional tenor Kamen Chanev. A tenor, who is part of the most valuable history of the Opera world.
