FIRST® LEGO® League Plovdiv
The event is the largest Lego robotics festival held in 110 countries worldwide with millions of participants.
The first edition in Bulgaria is on July 8, 2023, in the Kolodrum Hall Plovdiv.
The best prepared 24 teams of students aged 10 to 16, selected from among 80 teams from 50 schools across the country, will compete in a Lego robot competition. For several months, under the guidance of their mentors, they worked diligently for the competition. An expert jury will have the final opinion on their mission results during the finals in Plovdiv.
This year's theme is Superpowers emphasizing renewable and traditional energy sources. The competition's mission follows the topic and its interpretations.
A key objective of the FIRST® LEGO® League format is to foster children's and youth's curiosity and interest in robotics and the effective application of knowledge and skills gained while working with robots in real life. In addition, the festival seeks to involve parents as an important factor in the development of their children. Last but not least, the organization of the forum aims to put Bulgaria on the map of the global FIRST® LEGO® League community.
The public will also meet some of the most innovative high-tech companies in Bulgaria, join workshops and robot demonstrations, and enjoy a Lego fan zone, a music stage, and Lego exhibitions.
The event is free for all visitors.
Expect more details about the programme in the coming months.
