Foodcast

An Erasmus training course

Plovdiv 2019 is a key partner of the Foodcast Erasmus + training course led by the Italian partner Cooperativa Sociale Imagineria. The project involves youth workers from, Armenia, Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Ukraine, and it is part of Immaginaria's strategy of experimenting with new media, which aims to enhance community development and engagement.

The project's concept is the use of visual and digital media, combined with storytelling techniques, as a framework to explore different facets of the theme of food applied to youth work: as an engine for intercultural awareness and community animation, as a catalyst for critical thinking and sustainability, and as an arena for personal well-being and social inclusion.

The training course will last from Sunday, 27th October to Saturday, 2nd November 2024 in San Giorgio del Sannio, small town in Benevento province, Calabria.

The project's outcome will be the creation of educational video podcasts that the participants and their organisations will be able to use in follow-up events with their target youth groups and in other community contexts.

THE PROGRAMME

Through team building and group-bonding activities, creative storytelling and multimedia workshops, food-themed experiences, and meetings with local community groups, the programme is designed to transfer an innovative set of skills, tools, and knowledge targeting specifically the Personal and Social, Citizenship, and Cultural Awareness, and Expression, Digital and Entrepreneurship competences of the Revised EU Framework.
