Plovdiv 2019 invites Ars Electronica in Bulgaria

Workshops by the largest digital art center in Europe - Ars Electronica - start in Plovdiv as part of the FORUM 2019 - educational programme of the European Capital of Culture 2019.

During 5 weekends - in May, June, and July 2018 - Plovdiv will host 5 different workshops organized by Ars Electronica Linz and Plovdiv 2019 Foundation, as part of the FORUM 2019 -education platform in the programme of Plovdiv European Capital of Culture 2019.
In Plovdiv, the workshop series is realized in partnership with the Austrian Embassy in Sofia and Melformator Collective

U19 - Create Your World

The workshops are part of the series U19 - Create Your World. The workshop series is realized as a touring platform and are generated out of the big selection of projects of the Ars Electronica Festival. The workshops shall inspire to submit projects to the „U19-Plovdiv-Award“, which will be organized in 2019 in the framework of Plovdiv ECoC 2019.

Artists, who will come to Plovdiv in 2018 to lead a U19 workshop are Josef Dorninger, Armin Pils, Ilona Stütz, Marco Palewicz.

All workshops will take place on the 3rd floor of SKLAD - the new space for culture in Plovdiv.

  • Participation is free of charge.
