EUrhythmica - A cluster from the Relax Platform in the programme of Plovdiv 2019
Plovdiv is the city where Europe’s first ever Chamber Music Festival took place and still continues. Plovdiv is considered to be the home of jazz in Bulgaria and a number of world-renowned musicians started their careers in Plovdiv.
The EUrhythmica cluster’s ambition is to introduce Plovdiv’s rich traditional musical cultures to a European audience. Some of the city's biggest and traditional music festivals have found their place in the cluster with an enriched international programme that builds upon their long history. In the process of preparation for the European Capital of Culture, new events were born, which, with their numerous and diverse audiences, proved the power of music to unite.
