European Academy for Outdoor Arts School of Participation
Creative Europe, Culture sub-programme approved the cooperation project European Academy for Outdoor Arts School of Participation, a continuation of the successful 2016-2017 School of Spectacles, for funding.
For the period 2019 to 2020, there will be 5 eight-day training sessions for 130 participants, who will receive practical skills for outdoor events. The final training outcome document will be presented at 3 conferences.
In Plovdiv, during the period November 29 – December 6, 2019, 26 local and international artists from future ECoCs and 25 community representatives and volunteers will be involved in the project with training and workshops for lantern making, sound editing and other artistic techniques (details HERE) that will help them to create together an outdoor installation dedicated to December 5th - International Volunteer Day.

The leading organization is Walk the Plank - UK, in partnership uniT - University of Graz and European Capitals of Culture Novi Sad 2021, Kaunas 2022, Coventry 2021. Associated partners are Limerick, Yerevan Institute of Contemporary Art, Tartu City Council (Tartu in Estonia is ECoC 2024), and ECoC Veszprém Balaton 2023.
