‘Europe Psychedelica’ is an audio-visual project consisting of an exhibition and a concert. The exhibition (14 – 19 May at Post Culture Stage and Petnoto na Rorschach at 36 Yoakim Gruev Str.) will present visual artists from Europe and a series of short films focused on psychedelia.

The highlight will be an installation on the Cyrilization by the Hungarian artist Maxim Biljarszki, a champion from the 3D Mapping competition at Aarhus European Capital of Culture 2017. The installation will invite the audience to take part with controllers and motion sensors.  Artists from Bulgaria are Emil Nadzhekliev, Martin Platnikov, Andon Bakarov, and Dimitar Avramov. The Romanian artist Adistu (http://www.adistu.ro) will also take part. 

The project will conclude with a concert of the Hungarian band Meszecsinka (on 19 May at 7.30 pm at Konyushnite Stage, online tickets with price 10 BGN HERE), which will mix psychedelic sound and European folklore. The band members come from Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria and Hungary. Special guest will be Gergana "Belonoga" Dimitrova, a soloist in the storied Bulgarian folk music choir Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares.
