Plovdiv 2019 launches a programme FLY to encourage young talents

The programme will support outstanding students from Plovdiv for participation abroad

The Fly programme starts on June 10 and its goal is to support students, students' creative groups, and teams from 1st to 12th-grade from all schools in the city, for participation in international competitions, Olympiads, auditions. Participation in masterclasses, mentoring programs, forums, and conferences.

The aim of the foundation in this initiative, part of the legacy of the title of European Capital of Culture and in support of culture and arts in the city, is aimed at stimulating outstanding young talents in the arts, humanities, ecology, and new technologies.

The total budget of the program is BGN 30,000 and applications will be accepted until November 30, 2022 or until the fund finishes. The support covers the expenses for participation fees, travel and accommodation, border fees, and other fees charged by the host country. The maximum subsidy for an individual candidate is BGN 2,000, and for groups of more than two people - up to BGN 4,500.
