NEXT 7 HOURS is the fourth, digital part of our project with conceptual fashion design +7 HOURS, intertwining modern and traditional Bulgarian and Japanese culture through the language of contemporary design.

Its first part, the conceptual fashion installation, and film attracted a wide range of local and international audiences in September 2019.

The second part included the presentation of the conceptual design models developed under the project in a fashion show during Skopje Fashion Weekend in November 2019.

The third part of the project consisted of an exhibition of fashion photographs of Zlatimir Arakliev (Bulgaria) and Benjamin Hung (Japan) and curated by Nelly Miteva and Mira Draganova at the DOZA gallery in Sofia in February 2020.

The planned fourth part of the project envisages, in conditions of crisis and physical distance caused by the pandemic, the digitalization of the exhibition through a mobile application. The idea is to return the exhibition in a new form to Plovdiv, generating at key external locations in the city the digitalized design objects on tablets and/or mobile phones with the help of a specially created mobile application.

The main protagonist in the fashion film, the actress Irmena Chichikova, follows the appearance of her digitized "alter ego" at the points in the public space, and the whole action, filmed on video, will be broadcast at artnewscafé in March 2022.

Overcoming physical boundaries, the digital version of the further developed exhibition reaches new audiences communicating in the language of modern technology.

The project is implemented by IVAN ASEN 22 Foundation and is part of the LEGACY programme of Plovdiv 2019.
