Festival Summer Plovdiv 2024

The selection includes 18 large-scale events and key festivals that have become the emblem of Plovdiv - the European Capital of Culture.

In May, the Plovdiv events calendar begins with the vital program of the International Dance and Performance festival One Dance, which presents premier co-productions with some of the biggest names of contemporary dance in Europe.

At the end of the month, the musical weekend of the SPIKE showcase conference is coming, and shortly after that, the stage of the Plovdiv Ancient Theater opens with the annual concert of the magnificent soloist Sonia Yoncheva and the opera Tosca. The month of June continues with a concert by the Italian singer Mario Biondi and the beginning of the audience's favorite festival – Opera Open. At that time, the electronic music festival – Plovdiv House Festival is expected on Bunarzhdika Hill, and two festival days of the second edition of Francofolis de Bulgarie are coming up at Rowing Canal Plovdiv.

Hills of Rock returns for three fantastic days in July, and the traditional Plovdiv International Folklore Festival sounds until the beginning of August. We expect the summer edition of Plovdiv Jazz Fest, as well as the long-awaited Gypsy Kings concert, in the first hot days of August. Then the summer in Plovdiv continues in September when we celebrate 10 years of European Capital of Culture! Moreover, in September we celebrate 10 years together with Shake That Hill, there is a premiere title from the Drama Theater - Plovdiv, the rock and metal festival Music of Ages, and Ivan Vazov Street will once again be the scene of Station Street festival. Two favorite events usher in autumn.
